1. Introduction
Savv ("Savv," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Savv mobile application and the website at savv.club (together, the "Service"). Savv helps you track courier and parcel deliveries and manage recurring subscriptions in one place.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights available to you. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Account and profile information
When you create an account or sign in using a supported provider, we may receive your name, email address, and a unique account identifier. We also collect profile information you choose to provide, such as your full name and age, to create and secure your account and confirm eligibility to use the Service.
2.2 Device and session information
We collect information such as device type, operating system, authentication tokens, and session data needed to operate the Service and keep you securely signed in.
2.3 Email access for subscription and courier detection
If you choose to enable it, Savv can connect to Gmail or Outlook to detect:
- Subscription information: service name, billing amount, billing cycle, and renewal date from relevant receipts, invoices, and billing emails.
- Courier information: tracking ID, courier partner, and delivery status from relevant shipping and tracking emails.
This access is optional and requires your explicit permission. Our system is designed to process only subscription- and shipment-related messages for the data points described above. Extracted details are saved to your account so they can appear on your dashboard. We do not permanently retain unrelated email content or use email content for advertising.
You may revoke access through Savv, your Google or Microsoft permissions page, or use manual entry and forwarding instead.
Google API Services User Data Policy. Savv's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
2.4 Manually entered information
You may manually enter subscription details such as name, amount, category, and renewal date, or parcel details such as tracking ID, courier partner, and description.
2.5 Usage and analytics data
We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including feature usage and general performance or crash data, to maintain and improve Savv.
2.6 Website cookies and similar technologies
When you visit savv.club, we and service providers may use cookies or similar technologies to remember preferences, understand traffic, and improve the website experience.
3. How we use your information
We use information to:
- Create, authenticate, secure, and maintain your account.
- Detect and track subscriptions and parcel deliveries.
- Display renewals, billing cycles, spending summaries, and delivery status.
- Send enabled notifications about renewals, price changes, and delivery updates.
- Apply plan limits and prevent fraud, misuse, and security incidents.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information or use email content, subscription data, or tracking data to serve third-party advertising.
4. Legal basis for processing
For users in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on consent for optional email connections, notifications, and cookies; performance of a contract to provide requested account and tracking features; legitimate interests to secure and improve the Service; and legal obligations where processing is required by law.
You can withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal stops future processing based on that consent without affecting processing already carried out lawfully.
5. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may share it in limited circumstances with:
- Service providers: providers supporting hosting, authentication, email integrations, analytics, and customer service.
- Courier and payment networks: when needed to retrieve or confirm tracking or billing status.
- Legal and safety recipients: when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect Savv, users, or the public.
- Business transaction parties: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale, subject to appropriate protections.
- Recipients you direct: when you explicitly ask us to share information.
6. Data retention
We retain account and profile information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward when necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements. Extracted subscription and tracking data remains available while relevant to your dashboard or until you delete it. Raw email content is not retained beyond the period necessary to extract relevant subscription or tracking details.
7. Data security
We use technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure authentication, to protect information. No transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International data transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the EEA or UK.
9. Your privacy rights and choices
9.1 Rights for all users
- Access and review information associated with your account.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete subscriptions, tracked parcels, or your account.
- Disconnect Gmail or Outlook access at any time.
- Opt out of non-essential notifications.
9.2 EEA, UK, and Swiss users
You may also request access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, or portability; withdraw consent; and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9.3 California and other U.S. state residents
Depending on your state, you may have rights to know, delete, and correct personal information; opt out of sale or sharing; limit certain uses of sensitive information; and exercise these rights without discrimination. Savv does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To submit a privacy request, contact us using the details in Section 14. We may need to verify your identity.
10. Children's privacy
Savv is not directed to children. Users must meet the minimum age applicable in their location to create an account. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
11. Third-party links and services
Savv may integrate with services such as Google, Apple, Microsoft, courier partners, and payment providers. Their privacy policies govern how they handle information independently, and we encourage you to review those policies.
12. Cookies and tracking technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate correctly, remember preferences, and understand aggregate usage. You may manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, although disabling necessary cookies may affect functionality.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. If we make material changes, we may notify you through the Service, by email, or by posting a notice before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
